DUNE - FAQ
The Dune collection is based on a unique artisanal know-how, using your own fingerprints or your pet's nose/paw print.
The imprints are made using wax, then sent to our caster to be transformed into gold or silver. Once it's done, we rework each piece to give it its final shape and create your jewelry.
Since it's entirely custom made, the manufacturing lead time is 4 weeks from the time we receive your wax at the atelier.
Several options are available to you:
1. In store: you can visit the atelier-boutique at your convenience during our opening hours. We will help you make the finger/paw/nose print(s).

2. At-home kit (in store): you can also buy an imprint kit to take your finger/paw/nose print(s) at home.
This kit costs an additional €25 and includes:
- a step-by-step explanatory guide
- a tracking sheet
- 2 to 3 waxes
- a ring sizer or a plexiglas, depending on the chosen piece of jewelry
3. At-home kit (online): you can also order your kit directly from our website. This option allows you to access the Dune collection even if you cannot visit a store (for example, if you live in France or if you wish to avoid traveling back and forth).
At-home kits include shipping costs for 3 shipments :
- sending the kit to your home
- sending back the waxes to the atelier through a prepaid return envelope included in the kit
- sending your final piece of jewelry

The Dune collection follows a very particular and entirely handcrafted manufacturing process.
The imprints are made using wax, then sent to our caster to be transformed into gold or silver. Once it's done, we carefully rework each piece to give it its final shape and create your jewelry.
This multi-stage process requires time: the manufacturing lead time is therefore approximately 4 weeks from the moment we receive your wax at the atelier.
When taking a finger/nose/paw print, you have the choice between:
- the front with an imprint and a smooth back
- or an imprint on each side (front and back)
👉 The price is the same for both options.
However, our technique imposes a significant constraint:
in the case of a double-sided piece of jewelry, both imprints must be taken simultaneously.
The wax we use is similar to modeling clay: unfortunately, it is not possible to take an imprint on one side, then the other later, without risking damaging the first one.
This means that you can't have, on the same pendant:
- a pet's nose and a paw
- or two paw/nose prints from two different pets
A necklace consists of a chain to which one or more pendants are attached.
A pendant is sold without a chain: it can be added to a necklace you already own or to one of our necklaces.
They are simply different designs.
Generally speaking, within our collections, the smallest numbers correspond to the smallest designs and the shortest chains .
You will find all the detailed dimensions of each piece of jewelry in the "Dimensions" tab on the product page of our website.
We recommend waiting until the child is between 18 months and 2 years old to make clearly visible fingerprints. Before this age, the details are often very fine and the result less pronounced.
If you still wish to immortalize these very first moments, it is possible to take an imprint of the sole of the foot or the palm of the hand .
The result is different, but the symbolism remains just as meaningful 💛
No, you don't need to make an appointment to come and take your imprints in store.
If your dog or cat is fearful or uncomfortable around other animals, we advise you to avoid Saturdays, which are generally busier.
We currently ship our kits to Belgium, France and the Netherlands .
We do not ship to Switzerland, but it is possible to send you a kit to an address in France, close to the border.
Yes, it is absolutely possible on pendants and necklaces ✨
If your jewelry has a smooth back, we can engrave it.
- Engraving on a pendant or necklace : €30 extra
However, it is not possible to engrave the Dune rings .

No, unfortunately it is not possible to use your own gold for the Dune collection.
For this collection, we work with a specialized foundry that transforms the wax imprints directly into gold or silver. This foundry does not allow us to incorporate any external gold into the manufacturing process.
👉 On the other hand, if you have jewelry that you want to transform or recycle, it is entirely possible to make a bespoke jewelry project.
In this case, we invite you to make an appointment with Céline, our jeweler , to imagine your project together.
You can choose:
- an imprint on the front and a smooth back
- or an imprint on each side of the pendant
The price remains the same.
⚠️ Important : For double-sided jewelry, both imprints must be taken simultaneously. Therefore, it is not possible to combine different imprints (for example, two dogs) on the same pendant.
👉 Exception : the necklace / pendant 03 (rectangle) does not allow for double-sided production.
Yes, absolutely 😊 The necklaces in the Dune collection allow you to add one or more additional charms, either with your first purchase or later, whenever you like. For the Dune 01 bracelet , we need to retrieve your original chain in order to add a new charm and potentially gold-plate the entire bracelet again.
